Techint E&C's differential for this project stemmed from its work I one of the oldest units operated by Petrobras: despite the high risks involved, this did not affect the company’s commitment to ensuring the health and safety of the people working on the project and to protecting the environment.
Inaugurated in April 1955, the RPBC is the first large refinery built by Petrobras. Today, it supplies 8% of the national production of by-products and has an installed capacity of 178,000 barrels per day.
